Feminine products freebie followup

So three of the cloth liners I ordered have arrived (two of the freebies from my last post as well as a set from an eBay seller).  As pictured here - the top black print liner was a set of 6 8" Charcoal Bamboo liners from the eBay seller frank3102.  The yellow and green liner is the GladRags ColorLiner freebie in their Buttercup print.  And finally the kitty cat is the Party In My Pants freebie - I got the Demi Liner.

My initial thoughts are as follows, I might update this post or make new ones as I use them more often.

First the one from the eBay seller - I paid $21.99 for six with free shipping.  There were multiple prints to choose from but I got all six in this black print.  After pre-washing them, I wore them for a day.  Initially I hated the PUL backing.  Although very little of the backing touches your skin, the little that does just annoyed me.  Also I am used to paper liners that vary from paper thin to eh, average disposable liner.  They tend to be shorter.  I think my issue with the PUL turned out to be more just an adjustment from that to this.  I don't think I'd order 8" liners anymore but these do seem perfect for cup backup.

Next up the GladRags.  I pre-washed these at the same time as the eBay ones.  I am totally in love with the size and feel of these.  Still, overall, I just wasn't impressed.  I didn't really scrutinize these prior to washing, but after one wash the stitching around the edge of the liner was not looking so good.  The pictures aren't the greatest quality, but you can hopefully see the threads (serged edges) are already falling apart and I've not even worn this one yet.

Which brings me to why I wore the eBay Bamboo liners first - they actually dried in the dryer.  I had a fleece blanket, the 6 eBay liners, and this liner in the washer and dryer.  Everything got dry -- except these, these were still soaked.  It took most of the next day for them to just air-dry in my bathroom.

I doubt I'll buy any more of these. I guess I just feel like if I am trying a product via a freebie (+shipping) they're trying to show me why I should buy their product, and this sample just didn't make me believe that they'll hold up for any length of time.  We'll see.

Next up was the Party In My Pants -- it's like they know me.  They sent me a black cat print.   I got their Demi Liner which is a 7" liner.  Unlike most other brands this one  3" vs. the usual 2"-2 1/2" across (when snapped).  So far I love the size and prints of these, though if I decide to order these I'll likely just go with the mini liner or small pad (same length as this but 2" wide.  I'm leaning toward ordering more of these, though they're not the cheapest, I do like how thin the are.  They do seem to shift a bit (probably a combination of the thinness and Nylon backing.  Gonna try it a little more before deciding whether or not I'll buy.

Here's Lunapad liner (after a few washings).  Soft.  The perfect size for a liner.  Did start to pill early.

Also in the non freebie department is the liner from Padtastic on Etsy.  These are by far my faves so far.  After several washings they're not pilling.  Great stitching.  The right size (though I might prefer a slightly wider wing - just personal preference  these fit okay).  Most comparable with the Luna liner.  Not the cheapest (that'd be the eBay cheapies) but much cheaper than the brand names and made as well or better.

I put the Etsy (Padtastic) liners at my #1, followed by Party in my Pants, luna, eBay, and lastly Glad Rags.  I can't speak to any of the companies pads, these are just the liners and just my preference.

All done with the girlie stuff for now.  Back to crafty stuff, soon'ish.
