Get Your Hair out of your Eye

Get Your Hair out of your Eye

Made in Twisted Brush, of course… The name is because, well duh, the hair ended up over her eye and it reminded me of how I never really have bangs and my hair always used to end up like that so mom always nagged me to get it out of my eyes :P

And the conversation about my resident art critic over this girl…

[Me] me to brian: I should show you the cartoony chick I’m working on so you can tell me she’s missing boobs
[Me] then I show him
[Me] Brian: she’s pretty, kind of looks like Jennifer Aniston, but you’re right about the boobs
[MiSi] hahahah
[MiSi] you should draw a chick with a set of like triple D boobs and see if he says anything
[Me] I should just draw boobs
[MiSi] hahaha
[MiSi] he’d probably like that :)
[Me] or a butt

Wish You Were Here

Wish You Were Here

Just another random cartoon’y girl face.  Originally I was gonna try to draw stairs behind her but I got tired and screwed them up so rather than try to fix them I decided they looked kind of like a pier so she’s at the ocean or something, wishing you were there too.  *nods*  Made in Twisted Brush, of course.

Not A Vulcan

Not A Vulcan

So I was drawing her (in Twisted Brush, of course) and I couldn’t decide if I’d give her wings and claim her to be a faerie or leave her as is claim her to be an elf. As I’m working on her, Brian walks out and announces, without knowing I had been having this debate with myself, “Oh, she’s a Vulcan”. Erm, NO she’s not. Hence the name. Whatever she is, she’s Not a Vulcan and she took offense to being mistaken for one. Apparently, like me, she doesn’t watch Star Trek. Though when asked I did tell Brian I might go see the movie with him since he had offered to go see Milk with me (not his fault it wasn’t at any convenient theaters, wonder if I can get him to go to Coraline, hmm).

Love Seat

Love Seat

Ok so I drew the girl with pens then took her into Twisted Brush, traced over her to make this digital and added the chair — which is somewhat heart shaped, hence the title of love seat. Oddly enough the plan wasn’t to make this digital but instead to just play around with ideas for the background for the paper version. Now I have a finished digital version of her and the paper version I started out with is still just the girl.

There She Goes

There She Goes

Made in Twisted Brush. I was bored so I took a mini paper sketch from this morning, and turned it into this. Dutchie cat *cough* helped, she’s not very helpful BTW. Her idea of helping was to try to lay on the tablet while I was drawing and trying to shoo her away :/

Welcome Home

Welcome Home

Made with Twisted Brush and Photoshop. This time Brian didn’t comment on boobs… or… well anything other than to say hey it’s looks like that actress from Grey’s Anatomy. When I didn’t reply beyond looking at him, he asked “Well, doesn’t she?” *shrug*

I named her Welcome Home as it looks like she’s waiting to welcome someone home, though it also looks like home in in the middle of friggin nowhere.

Rainbow Girl

Rainbow Girl

I still had the face I used as the basis for some other digital thing in a sketch book, so I turned it into this.  I ran out of black pens and Dutchie the Cat was an art critic and walked all over it and smeared some of the pencils, I’ll assume she liked it in the end as she cuddled up on it before I came back in the room and kicked her off it it… So I left some of it as the original pens and pencils and redid the rest digitally in TwistedBrush.
