So I do use my sketchbooks. They’re a mess of course as I mostly just doodle stuff like practice cartoon’y eyes and half faces. Tons of stuff like that, multiple things like that one one page. Often overlapping each other on a page. I’m a freak. But I figured I’d take pics of a few of those things that you can still identify in those messes and post them here.
I could swear I posted this guy before, maybe I just planned to because I had been digitizing him. Maybe I’ll post that wip version too. Just some random BatBoy that also looked kind of Werewolf’y to me. I dunno wtf he is really, I just drew and that’s what he became.
Yeah, here he is. Still in progress though he has been forever, so maybe he’ll never be done, can’t figure out what to do with him.
No, I can’t draw from reference pics yet, obviously. And I should use a ruler or something instead of trying to draw lines on my own
But this is based on one of the CA missions. LaPurisma maybe? I forget now.
This was going to be a faerie but as usual I just used the page to draw all kinds of random eyes, half faces, etc. So this is really all I have of her.
Still need to finish the straps but it was shot night and got to be too late, so I’ll do that tomorrow. Then need to iron the top since a certain kitty decided to lay on it… That’s why it looks all funky on the right side. I’ve discovered I can semi sew a straight line… semi… usually. Kinda. Sewing a straight line is about as natural as drawing one though. Brian said he could get away with a purse using this fabric and thinks he needs a laptop case made out of it.
Still can’t sew though if I ever stop having this headache, I might finish organizing my office to make room for a sewing machine (Brian laughed when I said that, surely he wasn’t laughing at ME, must have been the cats). But I can Zazzle! I’m not a fan of tote bags but I did draw and list this one for sale today:
Don’t mind me, this is a 20-30 second paper / pencil sketch of an idea for a purse. The problems of course are many 1. I’d want to many different girls for purses so I’d have to plan this out and order tons from Spoonflower aka figure out the right sizes, etc. 2. I don’t sew. 3. For any other problems, see #2
Then again it’s a pretty simple purse that I’d like to make so maybe if I ever finish organizing my office, I might take up a new craft since chainmail is too hard on me now to do regularly.
I credit Anouk with helping inspire this. New Anouk Music always makes me feel like doing something artistic! *nods* She has a free download through the 8th here.
