Right, I was bored tonight, so I drew random cartoon’y faces all over the page, err screen, while watching tv. I’ve decided to post it even though it’s the equivalent of a sketch book page… hm isn’t all of my stuff really? I called it Cast of Characters since it’s just a group of random faces (or partial faces in some cases) so that seemed fitting somehow. Now I’m tired. I wish my head would stop feeling broken.
I spent my evening listening to Anouk and sketching on the computer. Hmm, her site quotes Perez Hilton. I’ve always wondered when America would discover Anouk, you know those of you who don’t have Dutchies like I do? Is Perez gonna introduce her to America now? Ok anyway… Here’s the two girl faces I decided to keep. I like the second one, the first one — eh I could live without but I might redo her, because she could have been cute, I liked her hair style anyway and then I got lazy with her to start #2. They don’t get names, they’re just A-girls since I was just screwing around drawing faces while listening to Anouk… who rocks! *nods*
Made with Twisted Brush Pro inspired by boredom, helped along with lots of Anouk – and oh yeah my house smells so good thanks to 12 hours of cold brewing some nummy chocolate raspberry coffee on my kitchen counter. Just thought I’d throw that in for no reason other than to make you all jealous
zzzzzzzzzzzzz!
No, not shoes for ME! New shoes for sale at Zazzle. Seems I really need to make some new art instead of slacking on my Misi Project (which is about 90% done).
My bots are now for sale on Keds Kid shoes, only lace up ones right now, I’m working on slip on ones without the stars now… Gotta figure out how to make them a little different from these… hmmm. Time for new bots or something too, I think. I’m clearly best and the childlike art so what to make next. Shoes = cool! They don’t have any purses I <3 so shoe designs are ok too. But what to make next?
You can view my complete Zazzle store here. I set the shoes (currently only kids as let’s face it, they’re not adult styles) as low as I could. My other items are a bit higher than the minimum so I can make a few cents off my cards etc. For my friends, if you see any of my art not on something Zazzle sells that you want it on, let me know and if you plan to buy something, let me know I’ll put it on sale that day to give friends a break then raise it back to normal price.
I got an invite to Spoonflower. Don’t know what spoonflower is? It’s a new site, still in beta, aka you have to sign up and wait for an invite to get in. They let you upload your own images and then send you fabric with your images on it. No, not screen printing, actual fabric with your designs. It can be tiled like any fabric you’d buy pre-made. It can be one big design for say wall hangings or to make dolls with. Whatever you can imagine. They sell different sizes from a swatch 8″x8″ (currently $5 + $1 shipping) up to 5 yards 42″x180″ (currently $90 + $7 shipping). Well our apartment is too small for a sewing machine and we don’t plan to move for a few months (until Brian’s job situation is sorted). So my first piece of fabric was just made and is being sent to mom. And 8×8 swatch with one of my girls on it and three coffee cups I made. I can’t wait to see what she does with it and her opinion of the fabric. If it’s nice then I’ll getting a sewing machine to make purses of my own art when we move.
