Visioneers

Visioneers
Visioneers

I really wanted to like this more than I did. It seemed like my kind of movie. The kind no one I know seems to have heard of. The kind the starts with a scene that seems too surreal to be real and yet possible at the same time. Good, let's get into this. Okay. The world has essentially been taken over by one corporation and George works for it. He's a level three Visioneer and best we can tell level five is about as well as the average joe has managed. People are exploding (literally) if they start doing unusual things such as dreaming. George? You guessed it, he's acting out and showing some of those signs. He's *gasp* dreaming. He's also not sleeping well, not desiring his aimless wife, etc. - so he must be at risk for an explosion, right?

The movie is sort of all over the place, not unusual for a movie like this, except is just doesn't really work. The acting is good. The movie had potential. Parts of it worked really well. But in the end it just felt disappointing as it never really pulled everything together well enough. 3/5 stars
