Daddy's Little Angel (Bedeviled)

Daddy's Little Angel (Bedeviled)
Daddy's Little Angel (Bedeviled)

One day you're twelve and life is good. Well, as good as it can be for a nerdy kid with basically one or two friends, a new age mom who boycotts towns based on their names not exuding good enough karma, and having been raised being told little more of your deceased father than he's the devil.

The next day, it's your thirteenth birthday and you find out your dad isn't exactly dead so much as he IS the Devil. That's the story of Angel's life. Not exactly the typical middle school drama though one she has to face while also dealing with very typical dramas as well. The teen aspect of this story is reminiscent of the teen movies of the 80s. Throw in a Devil with a heart and how could you go wrong?

I'm reading this as an adult who loves YA fiction. It's a fast fun read. Parts are a bit obvious and have been done before (hence the reminiscent of an 80s movie comment) but that doesn't take anything away from this book. The original aspects of this book make even those scenes that you feel you've seen before feel at least a little new.

I'm definitely continuing on with the series. 5/5 stars
