I’m tired of my drawings of girls being faces mostly and occasionally really bad bodies. My manga and faerie books have helped / inspired some stuff I’ve done and I’ve decided I DON’T want to do much realistic stuff. That’s just too much pressure and too hard, like real *gasp* work! I enjoy the cartoon’y NOT real looking stuff more, hence my “Real” projects coming along so slowly. BUT, I do also want to expand them more by I don’t know adding bodies maybe? heh. I realize I could just use the internet to find reference photos but so much of my stuff starts with me, sleepily sketching in bed, no computer — just pencils and paper and maybe books. SO, I ordered these two books tonight to see if they give me ideas or help me figure out bodies some.

For some reason Brian approved of the Women and Girls one When I told him I was hoping it’d improve my ability to draw bodies for my girls he said boobies too. He always says my girls need bigger boobs so I made a gesture of the shapes I use to draw my girls chests and said there was nothing wrong with the size of their boobs. I think he’s still laughing at the visual.
