I’m not a mommy, but I cannot work, I can however blog and I do. My art blog here. My personal one on VOX/LJ. Another I’m trying to kickstart with my own mom. I also know a lot of moms and others who are “stuck at home” for one reason or another. Some are raising kids. Some are sick. All seem to blog, journal, whatever you prefer to call it. And none seem to get paid for it. That’s why I joined SocialSpark. It’s not public, yet, but I highly recommend everyone go get on the list to be notified when it does go public. Why? Ohh, let’s see, how about picking and choosing opportunities that will help you to earn some extra income. Unlike other make money while blogging programs, you don’t just stick random ads on your blog and hope for the best. Instead, you’ll be shown opportunities, if you like one and qualify, you’ll accept it and do what it asks of you — most likely you’ll write up an entry, post it, and that’s it! Not typical ads, instead you’re writing about things you want to write about.

You can also set up a profile where you’ll list all of your blogs. So if you do happen to be a mommy maybe you have one blog that is about being a mommy, you can list it of course, but say you have 3 other blogs, you can list them all on one profile. Make new friends, get more hits, make your blogs more popular, and of course in the process end up with more opportunities. But hey, what if none of the available opportunities are ones that interest you? Then don’t accept them. Just keep watching and wait for one that you are interested in.
